High seas, high winds, and high spirits — High Tide Yacht Charters were thrilled to support the 2025 RS200 Nationals, hosted by the South Caernarvonshire Yacht Club from 4th–8th August.
Ninety-eight boats lined up for a week of racing that delivered everything the RS200 fleet loves: fast sailing, unpredictable weather, and just enough drama to keep everyone guessing. With winds topping 30 knots, Race Officer Arky had his work cut out, making tough calls on courses while the crews braved exhilarating conditions out on the water.
Back on shore, the fleet’s reputation for legendary socials shone through. Competitors swapped foul-weather gear for fancy dress, battled it out in beach games, embarked on a lively pub crawl, and capped the week with a glittering Championship Dinner. Against the backdrop of one of the world’s most spectacular yacht club views, sailors toasted an unforgettable week in true RS200 style.
The prizegiving, held on the yacht club’s sun-splashed top deck, saw Tommy and Charlie Darling crowned the 2025 National Champions — a fitting finale to a week of grit, glory, and good times.
