For James Teague, sailing is more than a profession, it’s a lifelong passion that began at age five, selling crabs off the back of a charter yacht in the Ionian Sea to fund his next ice cream. That early taste of yacht life sparked a love for the water that has shaped his career ever since.

James founded High Tide Yacht Charters after working with some of the most respected names in the industry, gaining deep, practical knowledge of both the bareboat and crewed charter markets. With a particular focus on catamarans in Greece, Croatia, the Amalfi Coast, and the Caribbean, he blends sharp market insight with real sailing experience to deliver unforgettable charter experiences.

A keen sailor himself, James has raced Sigma 33s and is currently a regular crew member aboard an X-Yachts X40. He completed the British Keelboat Academy programme in 2023/24 and frequently represents High Tide at key international events, including the 2022 Cannes Yachting Festival, the EMMYS Yacht Show (2023, 2024 & 2025), and the 2024 CRO.Y.A. Charter Show in Croatia.

Known for his attention to detail and client-first approach, James specialises in crafting bespoke charter itineraries that align seamlessly with each guest’s dream escape, whether that’s exploring hidden coves in the Cyclades or sipping sundowners off the coast of Capri.

Andy Teague is a lifelong sailor whose passion for the sea drives everything he does at High Tide Yacht Charters. An accomplished yachtsman, Andy has sailed in Greece, Croatia, Balearic Islands, and the Caribbean, and even crossed the Atlantic in the renowned ARC sailing race, finishing an impressive 2nd Place. His extensive sailing resume also includes organising seven Abersoch Mirror Weeks and two Abersoch Dinghy Weeks and an unsuccessful Round the Island Race attempted in 2024, to be rectified in the future! Reflecting his dedication to the yachting community in North Wales and beyond.

As a founding member and current Commodore of Abersoch Sailing Club, Andy is a key figure in developing the region’s sailing scene. A qualified instructor in sailing, powerboating, and personal watercraft (PWC), he regularly shares his skills with students of all ages. When he’s not working with clients or teaching, Andy enjoys cruising the coast aboard his Sun Odyssey 36i, named ‘MOONDANCE’, with fellow HYDRO Abersoch instructors Andy ‘Roo’ Johnson (known as the Blind Watersports Dad) and Jack Taylor. Andy’s enthusiasm, experience, and hands-on approach make him an essential part of the High Tide team.

Michaela brings a versatile background in marketing, pharmaceuticals, and a qualified paramedic, she provides a wider variety of adaptable skills to her role at High Tide Yacht Charters. Her eye for detail and passion for service make her an asset in shaping the brand’s presence across platforms.

A global traveller, Michaela has explored North America, Europe, and Asia—developing a sharp understanding of the guest experience. She attended the 2024 CRO.Y.A and 2025 EMMYS yacht shows to deepen her knowledge of crewed yachts in Croatia and Greece and is driven to create fresh, inspiring content that connects travellers with unforgettable sailing adventures.

Last and certainly not least, introducing Skipper Teague. Joining the Teague family in May 2022 Skipper, the working cocker spaniel, loves the outdoors just as much as the rest of his family. His name inspired by the Penguins of Madagascar, Skipper has a shared love of the sea just like Skipper, Rico, Private and Kawalksi, earning himself the title of Chief Saltiness Officer.
